Sharing a Web
Let you make your journey
so I can see the blue of your eyes
reflecting the skies.
Their seafoam glint not unlike rain drops
greeting an open-mouthed ocean.
Come just as you are.
Write these words down.
I love you.
We were made out of love
to love.
Etch them on your heart
as they leave my lips
alongside the other ponderings
so you never have to feel alone.
You want, I want.
We get what we need if we try.
This is the condition of my soul.
The woman you love.
Bursting at the seams with desire.
Melted ice dripping from her like a faucet.
The queen came.
Aching to follow the king’s rules
as his eyes became all hands.
Cocooned in their web,
they were naturals.
Outside, a faint tune is playing.
The song in my heart is louder.
My room is silent.
The curtains flutter.
I straddle the chair.
A restless writer
to welcome a new day.
A spoonful of chocolate therapy.
A spoonful of your sugar.
A storm in a treasured place
to let me know I’m alive.
Do the planets kiss like we do?
Does the moon blush?
Honey, I believe in miracles
as our ghosts cheer us on.
Envious of our joy
but knowing we’ve earned it.
Now I will sleep.
Maybe.
